Whether your products are locally grown, produced, or manufactured, you provide a valuable service to the people of our community. As a result, you have every reason to want consumers to buy locally and we want to help. Just as a choir creates more sound than a single voice, so can we reach more people if we all add our voices to the call to buy local. That’s why we need your support to make this initiative work. By downloading the Buy VI logo, and displaying it on your website and print advertising, you not only let the consumer know that you are a local business, but also that you are committed to giving back to this community. In essence, you add your voice to our choir. The Buy Vi logo displays a commitment to our philosophy of supporting not just local businesses, but local charities and organizations as well. Again, we’re not fanatical about it. Naturally, we expect small business owners to put the future of the business first. We are simply asking you to do whatever you can to give back to the community, through donations of services, products, money or time, and of course buying locally yourself. Supporting the local economy is just one part of our goal. Ultimately, we hope to strengthen the community by encouraging everyone to do what they can to enrich life on Vancouver Island.
