Cork Dork – The Anti-Sommelier Wine is one of those things that confounds, confuses, corrupts and continues to be the source of debates and disagreements all over the world. However, wine also brings people together to celebrate, commiserate and continue to enjoy life. In my Uncle Bob’s case, he says wine consumption has literally kept his marriage to my Aunt Alice together. Regardless of how you feel about it, wine is for the people who like it, not just for those sommeliers who have educated themselves out of really enjoying a glass of grog. Wine can help you to relax, and if you have too much, will sometimes put you in embarrassing situations in which you have to give your neighbour back their lampshade after that wild party… Wine appreciation, in my humble view is just that: “Drink. Enjoy. Do it again.” Although I have worked in the Wine Industry for 10 years, I profess to know that I have a whole lot more to learn about the subject. Look to these articles to inform, educate and more importantly, entertain you regarding the finer points – Without getting all hoity-toity about the whole thing. Life is too short to drink wine you don’t like, or to suffer the fool who’s trying to convince you otherwise.
